How Powerwall 3 Saves You Money
If you are on Southern California Edison's NEM 3.0 rate plan, the most expensive electricity rates hit between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Here is how Powerwall changes that:
Charge During the Day
Your solar panels generate energy during daylight hours. Powerwall 3 stores that excess energy instead of sending it back to the grid at low credit rates.
Discharge 4PM — 9PM
We program your Powerwall 3 to discharge between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM — the peak rate window under NEM 3.0. Your home runs off stored battery power instead of expensive grid electricity.
Whole-Home Backup

Eligibility
